Nippon Menard Cosmetic Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) positions the protection of personal information of the Company’s customers, clients, employees, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “customers”) to be handled in our businesses as the most important matter in our business operation, recognizes the responsibility on a daily basis and strives to protect it.
We also protect the information of our customers and respond to their trust by complying with the laws and other rules related to personal information protection in Japan and handling the personal information in a proper and secure manner.
The personal information is handled as follows unless otherwise stipulated by laws in Japan and the Company’s rules.
2. Handling of personal information
We clearly define the purpose of use of personal information within the scope of the Company’s businesses, before obtaining the consent of our customers in, and handle it within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
3. Acquisition of personal information
- We collect the personal information by legitimate and fair means.
- When we collect the personal information, whether it is obtained directly or indirectly, we will notify the purpose of use and obtain the consent of our customers.
4. Management of personal information
- We will keep the personal data accurate and updated.
- For the safe management of personal information, we will take necessary and appropriate measures in order to prevent unfair access to personal information, leakage, loss or damage of the personal information as follows.
- We will clearly define the responsibilities and authorities of our employees for safe management of personal information, improve and operate rules and manuals for safe management and confirm the implementation status.
- We will conclude a non-disclosure contract of personal data designated as confidential on business with our employees and provide them with education and training.
- We will take measures such as control of people who enter or leave rooms where personal data are stored and prevention against theft of personal data.
- We will take technological measures for safe management of personal data such as access control of data and the information system that handles them, countermeasures against unauthorized software and monitoring of the information system.
5. Provision of personal information to a third party
We will not provide personal information to any third parties unless we obtain the consent of our customers in advance.
6. Your rights to personal information
- As for personal data possessed by the Company, we will announce the matters such as purpose of use, specified in the laws or the Company’s rules.
- When our customers request disclosure of the personal data possessed by the Company, we will disclose the said personal data to our customers without delay.
- When our customers request correction, addition or deletion of the contents of personal data possessed by the Company, we will make necessary investigation without delay and, based on the result, take appropriate actions such as correction of the contents of the said personal data.
- When our customers request suspension of the utilization of the said personal data or their removal, we will suspend the utilization of the said personal data or remove them without delay.
- When our customers request suspension of the provision of the said personal data to a third party, we will suspend the provision of the said personal data to the third party without delay.
